FORMER GOODS YARD, PERSHORE STREET
Phase 1 of The Arcadian redevelopment proposes a staggered 15-storey, 238-bed tower.
Revitalising an empty plot and acting as a catalyst for the wider site’s redevelopment, the infill scheme would accommodate 150 studios and 11 sets of eight-bed cluster flats (88 en-suites).
Rising to 15 storeys before reducing in height facing The Arcadian, the building would be separated by a glazed link and would include a plethora of amenities at various levels.
There would be 495 sqm of internal amenities (lounges, study rooms, gym, and laundry room), with 270 sqm of external space including roof terraces on the first, third and 14th floors.
There would also be two biodiverse green roofs, spaces for 86 vehicles & 18 motorcycles, plus a secure storage area for 86 bicycles.
FUTURE PHASES:
SAMA is working with the site owner LCP to undertake the long-term, phased redevelopment, with the desire to increase the no. of homes across the site, whilst maintaining the leisure and entertainment offer.
Heights of 30 storeys+ on the corner between Ladywell Walk and Pershore Street, providing a varied transition up in height through to SBQ and the wider developments in the area, is expected.
